Guest guest
I like the idea of quilted bags...I usually use whatever I have on hand, a knit or something soft. I never channel mine, I don't know why I don't like it that way. Probably because I eventually replace the rice and it would be a pain to pick out all those stitches. We have all shapes and sizes of rice bags....big & fat, long and skinny; small square ones (best for 4 year old daughter), I like crisp sheets too but now that it is cold outside my feet are always freezing. We all have electric blankets on our beds but I threw out the controls years ago, I've heard so many scary reports of fires. So we just use them as plain old blankets, they are warm and I'm too cheap <cough, I meant thrifty!> to throw out a perfectly good blanket, especially with the number of kids that sometimes end up over here. Back to vegetarian issues, I'm going to make quart size jars of bean soup mix for my daughter's teachers and some friends. Its easy and inexpensive, they can reuse the jar if they want. I'll post the recipe if anyone wants it. AmyF
