Guest guest
sorry those shippers at the USPO are very careless with packages. One day a couple of years ago, a couple of weeks before Christmas I sat behind the local post office finishing my cards to put in that days mail. It was at the end of the day and inside was closed, so was going to put in their big blue outside box. Well the guy loading into the big truck that drives down the interstate with the mail was just heaving packages into the back of the truck and letting them fall where they may. It was so careless. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. So many folks ship fragile items and pack it well, but no amount of special wrapping could of withstood all of that. I called the next day and reported it to the local postmaster. I just cringed because I knew a lot of Christmas presents would not arrive in one piece. So sad. I'm hoping to do some window herbs, since I didn't get them in the ground during the summer. I am notably lacking in follow through with veggie gardens. We put in about 1/2 acre at our landscape nursery, but I can't spare the time during the work day (mine is abbreviated due to the school schedule, I work around the kids), and on the weekend being at my work place is the last place I want to be, co-owner or not. I need to get my garlic up and plant this fall's garlic. I have frozen some herbs, squash and peppers, canned pickles and tomatoes. I am out of storage!J My horseradish didn't come up at all... :-( We're a little cold here to do much fall planting this late. So everyone feel free to send me your excess!!
