I peeled and cored about ten tart apples, and sliced into wedges. rinsed about 1/3 lb of fresh cranberries. added all to a large pan, with about 1/3 cup apple juice, 1/3 (or more) cup butter (I used vegan Earth Balance), 1/2 cup sugar, (plus I added a bit of maple syrup, since I was out of brown sugar. would have used molasses if I had it) sprinkled some cinnamon, nutmeg, and added a bit of grated ginger. cooked it all down for about maybe 20 minutes. YUM! Bear in mind, I don't measure anything! these are guesses on measurements.
