Guest guest Posted November 8, 2006 Report Share Posted November 8, 2006 LOL i know, i know, it's strange. i rarely eat salty foods, don't add salt to cooking much, always buy low-salt, and yet i LOVE my vegemite. my partner, chilean-born is completely disgusted by it. i must say though, as a " stock " base to soups, casseroles etc it's great, and even vegemite-despisers enjoy the flavour it adds. not a strong vegemite flavour, just a nice strong vegie flavour base. i was thinking of you all this morning as i checked on our new vegie/herb patch - me and the kids just put in cucumbers, zucchinis, cherry tomatoes, 3 types of basil, coriander, chives, vietnamese mint, lemongrass and 4 types of perpetual lettuce. can't wait to be able to eat an entire salad from the garden! fingers crossed the beer i put out can keep the snails at bay.... cheers, jo Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
