Guest guest
I do this every year, if not for Thanksgiving, then for Yule Thanksgiving Punch 2 qt. chilled cranberry juice 1 can frozen pink lemonade concentrate 1 qt. ginger ale Pour cranberry juice into punch bowl. Add frozen lemonade, stirring until dissolved. Just before serving, add ginger ale. Freeze water in a jello mold and pop into the punch bowl. Makes over 12 cups. Guest guest
Oh, my gosh...that's my mom's old punch recipe! And it's the BEST!!! Have you been spying on her???? <folds arms across chest and taps foot impatiently> She's been making it for 40 some years, and I have NEVER in my 46 years of living--never ever--seen any one else make it or publish it anywhere, heehee. Too funny! <grins> Here are a couple of variations geared toward diabetics or those seeking to lower their sugar intake. (I invented them out of necessity since I missed her punch soooooooooooo much!): Celia's Diabetic-friendly Punch: 1 Large can of Orange Juice Concentrate, thawed 1 Liter of Sugar Free Ginger Ale 1 Large Bottle of Low Sugar Cranberry Juice Celia's " Jungle Juice " (Alcoholic drink for adult parties!!!) WARNING: Deceptively good but very potent drink--guaranteed to leave your guests staggering! 1 Large can of Orange Juice Concentrate, thawed 1 Liter of Sugar Free Ginger Ale 1 Large Bottle of Low Sugar Cranberry Juice 1/2 Gallon of Vodka* *Unlike when I serve a martini or mixed drink when I would use Absolute or Sky Vodka, I use cheap ol' Mohawk for the punch. Why? It comes in a 1/2 gallon plastic jug that costs under $15.00 and when it's mixed with all that stuff, no one can tell the difference anyway! Enjoy! --Celia-- Thanksgiving Punch Posted by: " Hip " hippie_papa hippie_papa Mon Nov 6, 2006 7:02 pm (PST) I do this every year, if not for Thanksgiving, then for Yule Thanksgiving Punch 2 qt. chilled cranberry juice 1 can frozen pink lemonade concentrate 1 qt. ginger ale Pour cranberry juice into punch bowl.
