Guest guest Posted November 5, 2006 Report Share Posted November 5, 2006 @@@@@ Rich Mushroom Gravy - Vegan 2-1/4 cups water Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 1 medium onion, chopped 1-1/2 cups mushrooms, chopped 3 Tbs. Tamari 5 tsp. cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water In medium saucepan, heat water, add onion and garlic and cook, stirring often, until onion is soft, about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring often, until they begin to release their juices. Add water, Tamari and cornstarch, dissolved in water. Stir continuously and simmer until thickened slightly, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
