Each biscuit probably has a few hundred calories but my kids ate them by the

panful. Some canned biscuits are made with lard, so look at the labels. I feel

like I should apologize for presenting these recipes for your consideration

but....

Too Easy For Words Orange Biscuits

1 package refrigerated biscuits (the cheap things in a roll)

1 cup orange juice

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon corn syrup

1/2 stick butter

Put orange juice, sugar, corn syrup and butter into saucepan and bring to a

boil, stirring. Let it boil down till it makes a thickened sauce. Pour

thickened sauce into square baking dish. Put biscuits on top of orange sauce.

Bake at 375* F for about 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuits are cooked but not

dark brown. When cooked, put plate over the baking dish and invert the baking

dish. Let the dish sit on the plate a couple of minutes before removing, so all

the good orange sauce can drip off the pan and onto the biscuits. Remove pan

and enjoy. Extra frosting really isn't necessary.

Too Easy for Words Caramel Biscuits

1 package refrigerator biscuits

1/2 stick butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon corn syrup (light or dark)

1/2 cup chopped pecans, OPTIONAL

Mix butter, sugar and corn syrup together in saucepan. Bring to a boil over

medium heat, stirring constantly. If it thickens too much, add a small bit of

milk, cream, evaporated milk or water. (a very little bit) It will thicken

fairly quickly. Remove from heat. If using pecans, add to caramel sauce now.

Pour sauce into square baking dish. Put biscuits over the top and bake at 375*

F for about 12 to 15 minutes. Put plate on baking dish, invert baking dish, let

sit for a couple of minutes so the caramel will drip off the pan and onto the

biscuits.

Enjoy, Jeanne in Georgia
