Guest guest Posted November 1, 2006 Report Share Posted November 1, 2006 @@@@@ Cider Braised Greens 1 tablespoon diced Spanish onion 2 cups apple cider 1 cup stock or broth Kosher salt 8 stalks Swiss chard, leaves roughly chopped and stems diced 5 stalks kale, leaves roughly chopped and stems discarded 1. Combine onion, cider, stock, and salt in a large pot--bring to a boil 2. Reduce heat to medium and add the chard and kale. Cover. 3. Simmer for 10 minutes, making sure to stir often and check for tenderness. 4. Cook until fully tender--approximately 4 more minutes.
