No, beth, it's the real stuff I am talking about. Some companies add

something when boiling it down, to keep it from foaming....I will have to do

a search, see what I find.... it's been years since I heard about it.

ohhhhh.....I'll bet they add butter. i think i've seen recipes where butter is

added to fruit when making jam to keep it from foaming or something like that.

yeah, that would make it non vegan, wouldn't it? i wish i could remember what

my grandfather & uncle did. :(
