Guest guest
Please post it because all I could find was a listing for " Vegetarian Oyster Sauce Veg. Beef from Strayfeather " which requires Veg. Oyster Sauce as an ingredient, but doesn't have a recipe for it. Guest guest
Fish sauce and Oyster sauce are completely different condiments. The fish sauce is salty and freepouring like soy sauce. Oyster sauce is more like a cross between the texture of ketchup and the sweetness and color of molasses. This one's going to come out more like " real " Oyster Sauce so please post it next to the Vegetarian Fish Sauce: Vegetarian Stir Fry Oyster Sauce INGREDIENTS 1 mushroom broth cube 1/2 cup boiling water 2 Tb black bean (Hoisen)sauce 1 generous Tb brown sugar 1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1 tsp cold water METHOD Dissolve the broth cube in the boiling water. Mix with the brown bean sauce and sugar, and heat to boiling. Add the dissolved cornstarch and stir until thickened. Cool and store in a covered jar in the refrigerator.
