Guest guest
Hey NJ neighbor, I would suggest for starters that you check out the recipe list in the files & for each meal, pick out a veggie, a protein, maybe a starch dish for each meal. Just pick recipes that appeal to you. Have fun! Bethie in Staten Island, back from hiatus. Guest guest
Hi, Debbie! I like to pull together menus on a weekly basis from a list of favorites plus good looking ideas that have floated past. BUT for those who really don't like to do it and want to be told what to do (there is no shame in not liking what I like <grins>), there is a woman named Leanne Ely who publishes a weekly Menu Mailer that tells you what to cook and gives you a shopping list to take to the store so you buy the right stuff without having to stop and add up amounts. It is not free, but there are sample menus on her website so you can see if you might like them before you buy a subscription. The link to her vegetarian menu is: http://www.savingdinner.com/menu_mailer/vegetarian_menu_mailer.html I have used some of her recipes from online or from her book, Saving Dinner, borrowed (free!) from my local library network. Pretty tasty, for the most part. That book is NOT vegetarian but many of the recipes can be easily adapted and there is a page on her website that spells out how to adapt them. We're having her " Apricot Chicken " but made with Quorn Naked Cutlets for dinner tonight at my house, as it happens. -ginger slave to two guinea pigs just north of Boston , " dby53 " <dby53 wrote: > > hi everyone, i am debbie and have been interested in a vegetarian diet > for a long time....but......i have no imagination for cooking. i > to vegetarian times and love their recipes. but what i need > are meal plans. not just dishes. like a weeks worth of meals. > practical ones not fancy. some ingredients i dont know what they > are. does anyone have any recommendations for me? thanks, debbie in > new jersey. >
