Guest guest Posted October 24, 2006 Report Share Posted October 24, 2006 Greek Hot Feta-and-Tomato Spread 6 ounces feta 2 plum tomatoes 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh oregano leaves or 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled freshly ground black pepper Crumble enough feta to measure 1 cup and spread evenly in ashallow 2-cup flameproof baking dish (roughly 9- by 6- by 1-inch) or a small deep flameproof platter. Thinly slice tomatoes crosswise and arrange, overlapping if necessary, on feta. Drizzle oil over tomatoes and sprinkle with oregano and pepper.
