Goodness, I need to proof read my e-mails more often. LOL Do you not like

Walnuts? We used to run over them with our car tires to get off that outer

skin. Then use latex gloves to remove any remainder. Then mom had a wood log

turned up on it's end and we'd crack away. She did some for my sisters and my

self last year for Christmas and gave us each a big bag of Black Walnuts all

shelled out. She is a work alcoholic.

I'm going to have to try and make y our Crazy Crunch. I saved the recipe to try

soon.

Re: Question of the Week

What are some of your favorite nuts and recipes to use

them in? Pecan,

walnuts and Hickory Nuts are falling are falling right

now, so thought

this. What edible nut trees do you have in your part

of the world?

One of my favorite nuts are pecans and I like them in

the " Crazy Crunch " caramel popcorn recipe that I sent

recently. I have also been known to cover them in a

melted chocolate chip/butterscotch chip and that's

pretty good too. I also love cashews and sunflower

seeds. Will eat those plain but like cashews in

cooking as well.

We have loads of black walnut trees in our yard. I'm

not going to hull them but often the Dept of Natural

resources takes donations so they can start seedlings.

I just recently took them all I gathered.
