Guest guest
Oh that reminded me of an really good recipe I got from a friend in TX. Crazy crunch 2/3 c sugar 1/2 c margarine 1/4 c Karo lite/dark corn syrup 1/2 t vanilla 4 c popped corn 2/3 c toasted pecans 1/3 c toasted almonds Combine sugar, margarine and Karo syrup in small saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue boiling and stirring occasionally 15’ or until mixture turns lite caramel color. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour syrup over popped corn and nuts on baking sheet. Toss with 2 lg. Spoons until coated. Spread out to dry. Makes 1 lb.
Guest guest
Sounds good!! Do I need to grease the baking sheet, or will this pop off easily? Guest guest
Last time I poured mine in a large tupperware container (used the top of a cake container) and the quickly tossed. This seemed to work really well. It Is very Hot and is caramel. Be careful not to drip on you or it will stick and pulling off will bring your skin too. I did that once and it wasn't fun. Ate more to quench the pain. Now I know better. Debbie
