Guest guest
I made an awesome Indian split pea and dal over the weekend. YES DONNA, it has okra in it!!!! (first I stop hating olives, now okra!) LOL, but the okra practically dissolves in the soup so you don't even see it. I cannot post it yet, as I got the recipe from a friend who got it from her mother. There were NO measurements of course, and mine tasted out of this world, but not as good as hers does. I am new to Indian cooking too.... so, one weekend soon I am going over to my friend's house to watch her mother make the soup first hand, and I will write down the measurements and post it. I took it into work and my boss loved it too, and my mom, who said, " eh, I don't like Indian food so much, just let me try a little taste " ..... well I gave her half a bowl, and she ate it and asked for another half, LOL. gotta run grrrrrr, work ..... grrrrr, hugs, Chanda - wwjd Monday, October 16, 2006 11:00 PM Re: Re: Question of the Week -Donna OH I love split pea soup too.
