Guest guest
Yes, I love panko. Now this is designed to use when you make Japanese tempura. I don't seaon them. I dip the finished food in tempura sauce. You can season them but it's not likely the seasoning with stay on the crumbs since they are coarse. Guest guest
You can put the panko in a paper or plastic bag with spices like cayenne, garlic powder, salt, pepper, etc. and just use milk, egg, whatever you normally do and put the veggies in the bag and shake. Viola! Seasoned panko breading! I like really crispy crunchy coating so I flour them first, then dip in beaten egg/milk mixture, then the panko. Try firm tofu this way with Tempura sauce or Ponzu Sauce, kind of a citrus soy sauce. Janis , Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: > > Yes, I love panko. Guest guest
So I'm supposed to dip them in tempura batter first, then the breadcrumbs? Does it hold up well? -Stacee
