Guest guest
Not really... eating only fruit, it would be very, very difficult to get all the required nutrition, so there's no nutritional reason to be a fruitarian. There have been studies that say plants do *not* feel pain, studies that are done with no outside stimuli (unlike the opposing studies, which leave a lot of room for some outside stimulus to interfere with the results). When cutting down a plant, one might feel guilty about destroying something beautiful. I keep my pretty weeds around for that reason. In my opinion that would mean there's no ethical reason to be a fruitarian. Also, fruit is made by the plant to distribute its seeds, so unless a fruitarian planted all the seeds of the fruit he/she ate in a proper climate with the proper care needed by the plant to survive, he/she would be destroying life, therefore defeating the purpose of being a fruitarian for ethical reasons. I'm not anti-fruitarian or anything. Really. It's not like I would post something if I thought a normal, rational person who can read things in context would be offended by it. I did, however, fail to think about the others. My apologies. Kadee Sedtal Get your own web address for just $1.99/1st yr. We'll help. Small Business.
