Those type make a pale tasteless stringy pumpkin pie.

The small dark sugar pumpkins are best. Now you can

cook the jack-o-lanterns though. I cut them in

sections and place in a ducth oven with the skin side

up and and water to cover. When soft I remove from

skin, mash with cionnamon, butter and a little maple

syrup.
