Guest guest
Could you post how to make rice in one I'm going to get a pressure cooker now. I make a mess on the stove cooking and it takes me a long time. I like the idea of it being fast and it's sealed up so no stove to clean up after myself. My roommates will thank you. Guest guest
I love the Fabor one that Donna posted a weblink to look at it. It is wonderful. I use mine all the time, but have not made rice in mine. Look at a Linen's N Things store and you'll find them for a great price and some have the med. and large pots for only slightly more than just one pot. These are super easy brand of Pressure Cooker to use. Guest guest
I'm not the original poster, but I make brown rice in my pressure cooker. My recipe is upstairs (I don't have it memorized) but I use the instructions from Lorna Sass's Vegetarian Pressure Cooker cookbook (that's not the exact title). She has these wonderful charts in the front/back covers of the book which tell you how to cook various types and amounts of rice, different beans, etc. Those are SO nice to refer to! I loved her book so much I bought Pressure Perfect, which isn't vegetarian but includes vegetarian options for most recipes. One simple comfort meal my kids like is a pile of brown rice with gruyere cheese mixed in (it melts when I add it right to the pressure cooker after removing the lid). Then my eldest has hers with some sliced chicken apple sausage. The first time I made this I added some Trader Jos soy breakfast sausage to the rest, but my veggie daughter prefers it without (though she loves the veggie sausage in general). I mostly use my pressure cooker for brown rice and soups, though last week I made chili. At some point I'd love to get a digital pressure cooker, but for now I love my stovetop Magefesa, which I bought two years ago from QVC (and then let it sit on a shelf because I was afraid of it). :-D Sharon surfboard_bedboard wrote: > Could you post how to make rice in one I'm going to get a pressure cooker now.
