Yikes! That's the type I'm afraid of. You will love

this newbie. My Mom blew one up years ago so I've

always been afraid of them. Not now. I just loved

it. I'm hooked! Move over crockpot!

Yes, I'm afraid of the old type as well. Even the first time I used my

new one (with 3 different safety mechanisms) I stood across the room and

was quite nervous. But now I'm very comfortable with it!

 

And, I agree, since I've been using my pressure cooker, my crockpot is a

sorry second cousin.
