Guest guest
Hey Chanda, Have you been to the whole foods store in the Reading Terminal Market? They have a very nice selection of stuff as well. I buy all my quinoa in there. I, as you, like to support the little guy whenever I can. There is also a natural foods store on the corner of Wellington and Frankford if that is close for you. I have been in there just once, not the selection of Harrys but, it does in a pinch. Another store, Fresh Grocer on 38th and Walnut in West Philly...that place is similar to Whole Foods. On Whittaker Ave, and on Rising Sun Ave, there are 2 Asian markets located there. Put your walking shoes on and have plenty of time to walk thru there!! Oh my! What a treat. Both stores are LOADED with all types of vegetarian sauces, foods and the prices are sooo reasonable. I buy all my tofu there. I can get 1 pound of tofu, any form, for 89 cents. They also see very thin sheets of bean curd that I use in place of egg roll wrappers when I make egg rolls...lower in carbs but higher in protein. They can also be sliced thin for noodles. ) How did you ever make out with your search for cast iron skillets?? I was thinking of you last weekend when I was at the flea market at Comley and Street Roads...one fella had a whole set (5 skillets) for $30...they were in great shape. Hope this finds you well.
