Guest guest Posted December 4, 2006 Report Share Posted December 4, 2006 Crock Pot Creamy Cheesy Broccoli Casserole 1 bag (20 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli, partially thawed 1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce [use a veg safe brand like Kroger or Wizard; there are others you just have to read labels] 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper 1 cup crushed buttery crackers or saltines 2 TB butter or stick margarine, cut into small pieces Cooked spaghetti or macaroni, optional In a large bowl, combine broccoli, soup, 1-1/4 cups of the shredded cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Pour into a greased or sprayed crock pot/slow cooker. Sprinkle crackers over top; dot with butter. Cover and cook on HIGH heat setting for 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Sprinkle with remaining cheese then cook 10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted. Serve over cooked spaghetti or macaroni, if desired. Serves 8 to 10.
