Guest guest
Salad meal Often times I make a salad into a whole meal. I just love it made this way and it isn't loaded with high calories from a salad dressing. You won't miss it when you make it this way and man will you love it made this way. Here is what I add. Spring Mix Lettuce or Romaine Lettuce chopped - Wash and spin completely dry. Chopped, broccoli, Bell Pepper. Cauliflower, carrots, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes. Mix all of this together well Then set up a Toppings Station with, a can of sliced beets, can of garbonzos, kidney beans, can of Baby Corns, Baco bits, bowl of crutons, a can of Artichoke hearts in water, olives, both green and black, spring onions or mild red onions, crumbled Feta Cheese and grated Parmasean cheese.(omit if Vegan) A can of Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning. Each individual person can make their own plate up. I put a plate full of the salad and then add toppings of choice from the above. I personally add it all. I spoon in some of the olive juice, juice in the beans, and from the artichokes all over the salad. Those juices become my dressing. Hemp seeds are also good sprinkle on this. Also some toasted pecans, pine nuts or almonds would be great with this. Sprinkle lightly with the Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning and gently toss the salad together. If I decide to use Ranch dressing I also add crumbled up saltine crackers to the top of my salad, instead of crutons. It is soooooooooo good. Yours to enjoy, Judy
Guest guest
You're welcome. My family loves it and enjoys all the selection. I hope your family does as well. It sounds like the kids might have more fun with it this way rather than thinking they're just eating a salad. Thanks for the idea.
