Guest guest
A friend recently shared her recipe for this delicious and easy recipe. I hope you enjoy it too. Judy FESTIVE FUDGE 3 cups (18 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 (14 oz) can original sweetened condensed milk Dash of salt 1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts (Optional) 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat, stir in nuts (if desired) and vanilla. Spread evenly into wax paper lined 8- or 9-inch square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off paper and cut into squares. Store covered in refrigerator. Sometimes I might add half semi sweet and half white chocolate chips...other times I might drizzle carmel sauce into the melted chocolate...either way it always turns out perfect and yummy. Guest guest
This is how we make our fudge also. Only no nuts however we have added pretzels, reeses pieces, or snickers bars to the fudge. Gayle
Guest guest
does anyone know if subbing soy milk would work in this recipe??? treazure noname <treazured wrote: Finally! Judy you angel! I have tried finding this recipe since the last century. I make a peanut butter fudge and this fudge and put the peanut butter fudge on top of this fudge. Awesome, and one of the kids' favorites. Thank you! Here's the peanut butter fudge recipe Peanut Butter Fudge 2 cups granulated sugar 1/2 cup milk (I use less milk if making this when it is raining outside) 1, 7 ounce jar marshmallow creme (last time I looked, marshmallow cream did not have gelatin in it) 1 1/3 cups peanut butter, creamy or crunchy (family likes creamy, I like crunchy) Boil milk and sugar together in a heavy saucepan for three (3) minutes over medium high heat. (soft ball stage) Use a pan that is high enough to let it bubble up or you will have a mess on the stove. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and marshmallow creme. Stir to combine completely. Spread in buttered, greased or oiled 8X8 " or 9X9 " square baking dish. To make double decker fudge, make chocolate layer of fudge, then pour the peanut butter fudge on top, smoothing with spoon or spatula. For this one you need a larger oblong pan or the fudge will be 2 " thick. Cool then cut into squares. Ships well. Thanks again, Jeanne in GA Cheap Talk?
