Guest guest
Most people who are on a tight budget have the same feelings. Affordable canned foods are often loaded with sodium and we never know their growing conditions (some people can raise their own gardens and provide for many meals, or even freeze or can the remainder). I agree it is costly to buy premium ready made products (for those of us who don't cook or like to cook, there are not many options that do not fall into the routine vegetable line). Ready made vegetarian brand name products can be quite expensive. I usually just look and wonder myself, but once in a while treat myself to something that looked better on the box cover than actually tasted when I prepared it. I eat pretty healthy, but now that I am working until 8pm most evenings, it is difficult to have a nice sit-down meal with my family like we used to do. I have decided to make it a priority on Sundays to have a nice family dinner where attendance is manditory. All weekend with the teens it is go-go-go, so this is a something we really need now to feel reconnected. ~ PT ~ Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy. ~ Howard W.
