Hello Everyone:

I'm new to this list. Up until about a year and a half ago I ate, drank, and

did whatever I wanted. Although I didn't use drugs, and if so, only prescribed,

I drank wine and beer in moderation, and I didn't smoke cigarettes. That still

remains except I was tired all the time, had lots of pain in my joints,

especially the extremities, was a little down, and had way to much on my plate.

So, someone recommende a homeopath. I visited him for @ 9 mos. and it was the

best thing I could have ever done for myself.

He found that I had chronic fatigue syndrome, too much stress, not enough

natural energy to do boot, and lots of acid build up in my joints that were

causing pain. Well, he gave me his wonderful remedies and voila!... Several

months later... I was a new person.. No more tiredness, no more joint pain, lots

of energy, excited about life.. of which my husband and I launched it with a

little celebration on our first cruise.

So, once my body could function better I started exercising, long walks and

jogging, and strength training with a personal trainer a couple times a week.

Lost a few pounds, but put them back on, so here I am almost 3 years older since

I started this healthy living venture and I'm feeling like I'm missing something

in my new lifestyle. And that's how I found this list. I think I'd really like

to take my eating habits a little more seriously. Today I started a 7 day

detox... a kit I ordered from Arise and Shine, if anyone is familiar with that..

I think it will be good. And then once I've done some inner cleansing I hope to

do the same in the kitchen cupboards.

Well, I'm looking forward to what I might learn here and what I might share.

I have two teenagers, one who'll be off to college in less than a couple years

and I hope to get them started on healthy eating and healthy living for the last

thing I might do for them before they move on.

Thanks,

Claire

Hi, and welcome. Sounds like you've made lots of changes for the better, I'm

proud for you! Healthy eating might just be the last piece of the puzzle. Even

just one healthy meal a day did wonders for my energy level... now if I can just

get rid of a few pounds. :) I hope you enjoy the list and whatever eating habits

you choose. :)
