QQTW - What is your favorite Baked Dessert - Recipe Repost for Arthelene's Cookie Bars

These are a new favorite baked Cookie Bar of our, that someone sent in to

the list, but I didn't see it in the files, so here is another copy of it.

Arthelene 's Cookie Bars

 

1/4 c. olive oil

1 c brown sugar or honey

2 egg whites

2 c oatmeal

1/2 c whole wheat flour

12 tsp salt

1/2 c sunflower seeds

1/2 c pumpkin seeds, chopped

1/2 c pecans, chopped

1/2 c choc chips (optional, I like it better without these added)

 

 

Beat oil sugar and egg whites together, .

 

Stir flour, oatmeal and salt together, add to above mixture. Stir

in remaining ingredients. It will be a stiff batter.

 

Press out on a Jelly Roll Pan, with your hands and bake 10 mins at 400. Cut

when still warm into squares, or before baking, it may be cut.

Thanks for reposting it, Judy. With both susie and I

working full time we are getting a bit behind in our

recipe filing.... sorry. But the good news is we are

saving all the digests and we plug at it on the

weekends so recipes will make it there eventually

and they are in our message archives, too.

I'm sure it is a challenge. I appreciate the effort it takes to do this. It

is so much easier to find recipes, when they are filed. Some sites don't do

that....
