Guest guest
Hello, I am still working on the vegetarian lifestyle, but still want cheese (I can do without the meat). I have not tried many recipes, but the files are very helpful and so are the posts. I enjoy knowing that lots of people are still learning and that there are those who will take the time to email and to teach. M.A. myddvai <Myddvai wrote: Hi! I'm a vegetarian for health reasons. I used to be the only vegehead in our family and I always fixed a main dish for myself and one for the family along with vegehead friendly side dishes. Now both my daughters and I are vegetarians, my oldest being a vegan and all the husbands are meat eaters, so now my cooking is a bit more complicated, but I love to cook and can even slip a meatless meal in for everyone every once in a while! I think being vegetarian is more main stream than it used to be so I don't get teased about it like I used to. People don't look at me as weird anymore, instead they think of me as " pursuing a healthy lifestyle! " , and that works for me...LOL DJ , Kadee M <abbey_road3012 wrote: > > Welcome! I'm new to the group too, and I feel your pain!! All my family and the three friends I have are all meat-eaters. It's nice to have others here who don't freak out at the idea of a veggie burger or veggie lasagna. I personally am a strict vegetarian, vegan mostly, for moral/religious reasons. There was just a roll call, so if you go back through the messages you can get to know everybody a little bit. Every day I get bizillions of recipes, which is awesome since my husband was reeeeeeally getting sick of the same few things I knew how to make. Have fun on the list, it sure is good to have other vegetarians to relate to in such a vegetarian- unfriendly world. > > Kadee Sedtal > > Elizabeth Harris <redbeans5 wrote: Hello to all the vegetarians in the group. I am Elizabeth from Geneva, New York. All my friends and family are meat eaters so I am welcoming the chance to have new friends that share my pleasure and dilemmas in being a vegetarian. I have an ebay account and sell vintage jewelry mostly and I have two cases and floor space in our local antique co op. I am wondering if everyone in the group is a strict vegetarian or are we a mixed match. I just joined tuesday so if I seem fragmented, please forgive me. I enjoyed the emails I have already received and am looking forward to more. > Elizabeth H. > >
