Guest guest
HI PT, I'm glad the menu planning tips were helpful. I actually meant to add one more but I forgot to do so. It is so laughably simple that it really doesn't deserve the name 'tip' but I find that it sometimes proves helpful. Despite the fact that I have well over 1000 cookbooks, 11 large arch files containing recipe cuttings and who knows how many thousand recipes stored on my computer there are still times when my mind goes completely blank as to what to cook. It can sometimes be helpful to focus your thinking and narrow my search area by opening your store cupboard/fridge and select a particular ingredient. Keeping that ingredient in mind I then look up recipes in which it features. Sometimes the ingredient might be the staple for the recipe, such as potatoes, lentils, tofu etc. but at other times it could be something such as a tin of tomatoes. I have a favourite website which allows you to type in up to three different ingredients and it comes up with recipes using what you have selected. There is also an option to include only vegetarian recipes in the selection. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/advanced_search.shtml There are probably many more sites similar to this one but I tend to rely on this one as I am used to using it. If you know of any more sites like this where you can get recipes for nominated ingredients I'd love to have the details. Best of luck with the new job you start tomorrow. I have had a look at Fire Mountain Gems' website and it looks as if they sell lovely products. I'm sure that you will enjoy working for the company and I look forward to hearing about how the job goes.
