Guest guest
This is my absolute favorite dessert during this time of year. Very basic, but so delicious. Makes the whole house smell so good while it bakes, too. Apple Crisp 8 tart apples, peeled and sliced 1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup oats (I use quick oats) 2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a baking pan. [i use my 10 inch round deep dish quiche stone] Arrange apple slices in pan. Mix remaining ingredients together and sprinkle over apples. Bake about 45 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Serve warm, and if desired, with cream or ice cream. ~ PT ~ To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one's own in the midst of abundance. ~ Buddha
