Guest guest
Enjoy this recipe. One of my holiday baking favorites from my Gran's cookie recipe collection. Orangesmakager ( Scandinavian chocolate Dipped Orange Sticks) 1/2 cup butter, room temp. 1 1/2 cups unbleached or all purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar 3 tbls. grated orange peel 1 large egg 4 or 5 ounces melted semi-sweet chocolate Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease a cookie sheet. In a large bowl press the back of a spoon, or use your fingers or a spatula to blend the butter into the flour. Mix in sugar, orange peel and egg, stir this together until well blended and a stiff dough forms. Refrigerate this for 20 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough until it's 1/4-inch thick. Cut into bars about the size of 2-inch by 1-inch. and place on cookie sheet, 1-inch apart. Bake for about 9 - 11 minutes or until light brown color. Dip one end (1/2 of cookie) into the melted chocolate and then place cookie on wax paper to dry and set. You get about 35 - 40 cookies from this recipe. Get on board. You're invited to try the new Mail.

Guest guest
Toss in a dash of cardamom too if you have some. I always use it in almost all my baking. Enjoy!
