Guest guest Posted August 23, 2006 Report Share Posted August 23, 2006 CHERRY NUT LOAF Makes One Loaf 1 small bottle Marashino cherries (drained) 2/3 - 3/4 cup Milk 1 cup Brown sugar 1 tbsp Butter 2 Eggs 2 cups All purpose flour 2 tsp Baking powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 cupWalnuts (chopped) Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C]). Save the juice and add enough milk to make 1 cup. Cream sugar, butter and eggs. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk and cherry juice. Fold in nuts and cherries. I Cannot find it right now but was thinking of making it soon. It called for cherries, red grape juice and star anise. They are cooked together and cooled.
