Re: Veganaise

Hi Irene, I was thrilled to find the vegenaise some time back at our

little Drug Emporium here in Waco. In the refrigerated case there were 3

(actually 4) to choose from. 3 in the smaller jars (grapeseed, original,

canola) and 1 in the quart size (canola). I bought the green canola oil

pint first and loved it and used it up pretty quickly. Then I decided to

buy the quart size because it was a better deal. All the quart comes in

is the green label. I did notice that with the quart size that before I

used it up it became more of a liquid consistency. Don't know how long

it took it to be that way, though. It didn't really separate, but it was

thinner....so I made a conscious effort to use the little bit that was

left in some different things...taste was not affected. So at Drug

Emporium we have the pint jars at $3 something, and the quart jar at

$4.75. I keep wondering whether I ought to try the grapeseed or

original, but they cost so much more! Has anyone noticed a difference

that would make it worthwhile to try the smaller sizes? BTW--I'm pretty

sure it's still safe to use if you've kept it at the right temp and not

left it sitting open on the table or dipped contaminated implements

(LOL!) into it etc.

I started buying the Vegenaise mayo some time back. Does anyone have

problems with it breaking down in the jar within six weeks or so of

buying it? Mine started with that about then and just is very runny now.

Is it still safe to use? Maybe it is only the organic version? Thanks.

Irene
