So my package of reduced price (28 cents) non organic mushrooms (98 cents a

pound) was not so good of a deal? wink, wink

as much as I loathe walmart for questionable corporate practices and I

ESPECIALLY hate how they will try to swing eminent domain (I dont feel

so bad for the employees, they have the choice to work there and we've

all had jobs with sucky or no benefits, but I digress)...and I know

that selling organics is all about the money (back in Orlando our

walmart already did sell organics so it's not news to me, but I

digress again)...BUT hopefully it can be turned into one kind thing

done for the earth in exchange for all the crappy things....but we

shall see.

In orlando I had most of my organics delivered, there was a great

co-op there that brought whatever I ordered to my door every 2 weeks.

Here I go to super target since the prices are right. I go to harry's

when I feel like driving and have extra moola...but with kid #5 to

debut soon extra moola isn't always something I have. We don't have a

choice, we have to do organics because my son has a liver condition

and most likely the new baby will have it as well.

So, I decide it I want to pay 99cents/lb for those organic bananas or

1.19/lb and if it's walmart with the best price that week, so be it.

Bananas are a luxury for us actually and I have to know what farm they

are from, LOL. And in case you are wondering, no, it isn't any fun at

all grocery shopping with me. I have to read every single label, I

moan and complain about the condition of the mushrooms (hubby managed

at a commerical mushroom farm once...I know way too much about

mushrooms), I cry over mushy tomatoes...anyhow...
