Guest guest
Hope everyone is having a lovely Wednesday so far. We are always having new members join us, so hello and welcome to all of you. Each week we do a QOTW [questions of the week] and each month we also do a roll call, both of which are just for fun and sharing; neither are required for continued group membership, so no worries there. If you haven't participated in the monthly roll call yet for August '06, it is a nice opportunity to share an introduction. Here's how it goes: 1. What is your name? [ username or whatever you wish to share] 2. Where do you live right now? [be as specific or vague as you feel comfortable] 3. Vegetarian? In transition towards vegetarianism? Or just here to learn ways to serve more meatless meals? And just for fun: 4. Coffee or tea? Our group QOTW are posted usually on each Sunday. [that is if I am online and remember *lol*] Here is what we have going for this week ~ and it is never too late to jump right in! QOTW [questions of the week] for August 6th-12th, '06: 1. What is your favorite dessert? 2. About how often do you eat or make desserts a week? Don't hesitate to start a new topic or ask us any questions you might have. I hope everyone will feel free to join in the sharing and have a pleasant day. ~ PT ~ Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. ~ Alfred, Lord Tennyson, poet (1809-1892)

Coffee Susie or Susan Some Americans need hyphens in their names, because only part of them has come over; but when the whole man has come over, heart and thought and all, the hyphen drops of its own weight out of his name. ~Woodrow Wilson
Guest guest
Hi ya'll, I just joined this group. Here's my 'stats'...I've been a vegetarian off and on since I was a kid, but finally made the life-time commitment in the fall of 1997 upon taking a course on South Asian studies. Reading about ahimsa is what cinched the deal for me. And I signed up here for several reasons. I'd like to interact with other vegetarian friendly folks, exchange recipies, and just have an opportunity to expand my experiences and preconceptions. I choose not to smoke or drink alcoholic beverages and generally avoid dairy products though my spiritual practice doesn't require that I remain a vegan. Looking forward to interacting with folks here. Thanks, Gloria Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min.
