Sorry about the recipe I posted earlier. I fixed it now. I try to fix it

to make it vegetarian but did not see the lard.

 

Here is the recipe.....

 

Apple Potpie

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking powder

2 tbsp. Vegetable Shortening

1 egg

1/3 cup water

6 tart apples

1/2 cup brown sugar

3 tbsp. butter

 

Mix the vegetable shortening into the flour, salt, baking powder. Stir

in egg and water. Roll out thinly, cut into 2 inch squares. Peel apples

and cut into quarters.

Into kettle containing 1 cup water, put layer of apples, half of brown

sugar and butter, cover with layer of pot pie squares then more apples,

repeat. Cover tightly and steam for 20 minutes.
