Guest guest
Hi Christie, When I read about the posts of others and their lifestyle changes, I am a little envious sometimes. I get stuck in the cheese rut because I like the taste...mainly string cheese or feta are about the only ones I eat. I don't drink milk, but I do eat some yogurt or frozen yogurt/ice cream once in awhile. I have tried some of the herbal teas, but like my old standby green tea. I also drink mostly black coffee or iced coffee. The " ice creams " that you plan to make sound yummy...maybe you will share the recipe christie_0131 <christie0131 wrote: > 1. Vegetarian for 39 years, transitioning gently into vegan ie once the parmesan, feta and halloumi cheese in my fridge are used up they will not be replaced. I stopped buying dairy milk a few years ago and I'm on my last pot of yoghurt. I'm not too keen on most of the vegan alternatives so I shall just need to look for a different way of eating, particularly in terms of treats and desserts. I have a recipe for cashew cream which I plan to try out and also one for cardamom and rose ice cream. I certainly don't want life to become too austere and boring so I am determined to be inventive and resourceful in terms of my cooking. > And just for fun: > 4. Coffee or tea? Hmmm - I love cappuccino but that will soon have to go as most places only offer a soya milk alternative which I don't like (I use Tiger White which comes from Spain and is made from chufas which are sedge roots). Hate tea but drink a lot of herb and fruit infusions - Red Zinger, Wild Raspberry, Cranberry and Apple, Peppermint and Liquorice, Rosehip and Hibiscus, Lindenflower are amongst my current favourites.
