I read this story at the link below over on the IVU

veg news group. It is a good source for interesting

vegetarian news reports and I enjoy their daily

digest. I thought some of you might find this news

story interesting. There have been a few this past

week in regards to lentil export limits.

to raise prices and limit customers' purchases as supplies

become scarce

Grocer Mash Kaiser's shelves aren't bare yet.

 

But he's limiting sales of some lentils to one bag per customer.

 

 

" A lot of people, what they're doing is getting their mom, mother-in-law and

kids to come

in and stand in different lines and fill up their carts with everything, " he

said.

 

Everything lentil, that is.

 

India banned the export of various pulses, such as beans, lentils and chickpeas,

in late

June to stabilize rising prices in the country.
