Guest guest
Just received this. It sounds so good and there are lots of cherries in the store. Diana CHERRIES JUBILEE ACCORDING TO THE ANCIENT RULE OF VENDLAND....... 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp cornstarch 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup orange juice 3 cups pitted fresh cherries 1/2 tsp orange zest 1/4 cup brandy (optional)....Asbach Uralt will do nicely, as will Cointreau. 1 quart vanilla ice cream. Make it Edy's Slow-Churned. Combine the sugar and cornstarch. Blend in the water and orange juice. Cook, and stir until thickened and smooth. Add the cherries and the orange zest. Return to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Gently warm the brandy, pour over the sauce and flame. If desired, serve over ice cream. You should have about 8 servings
