Guest guest
Hello All. My cousin has an 18 month old son who is currently being tested for food allergies. He is allergic to peanuts, not sure what else just yet. They are not vegetarian. My cousin is open to trying new things however. Her son pretty much likes to eat yogurt, pasta, veggies, maybe cheese... He doesn't want anything to do with meat. (YAY!!! lol) She called me this morning asking for some ideas. She wanted to find out about tofu and how to " sneak " it into some foods. She asked what types of hot dogs I'd recommend, and also about different nutbutters and any luck making them instead of paying big buck for them at stores... One of her son's favorite meals is pasta with broccoli. I told her to mash some tofu up with broccoli then add it to his pasta... I wasn't much help with hot dogs. I told her my daughter had Smart Dogs before, but that was a long time ago. We don't buy them because no one here likes them.. Any brands better than others? I never really cared for them myself -they definitely need condiments! lol I also told her that she could make muffins or other things he likes and use tofu in the recipe or other things to pack more protein in... Any ideas? I'd *love* to really be able to help out. How great it would be if my little guy would become veggie! (or at least him and his mom and dad have some tofu or something veggie now and then instead of the standard meat and potatoes...) Thanks for any advice! ~Kort
