Guest guest Posted June 19, 2006 Report Share Posted June 19, 2006 Vegetarian Pizza " A quick chewy pizza crust that can be made in 30 minutes. 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast or 1 Tbsp dry yeast 1 teaspoon white sugar 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C) 2 1/2 cups bread flour 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 1 tbsp. Rosemary, chopped(fresh preferably) 1 tsp. oregano, dried or fresh 1 tsp. dried minced garlic DIRECTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes. 2. Stir in flour, salt and oil and seasonings. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes. 3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or Pizza stone dusted with cornmeal. Bake for 5 minutes @ 450 degrees. Toppings for Pizza 1 can Worthington Vegetarian Burger. Fry in a small amount of hot oil. Flatten with the back of your spoon. Fry until crispy. 1 jar of Ragu Pizza Sauce 1 can. Mushrooms, sliced Sliced Olives, green or black 10 oz. pkg of frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry 1 can of Pineapple Tidbits Onions chopped Green peppers chopped 1 c. Parmesean Cheese Shredded 1 c. Cheddar or Mozzarella Cheese Shredded 1 tsp. oregano 1 tbsp dried minced garlic Directions: Spread the browned Vegetarian Burger over the prebaked crust. Pour the Pizza Sauce over this. Add the veggies and Pinapple toppings. In a bowl mix together the cheeses, oregano and minced dried garlic. Sprinkle over the Pizza and bake for Spread with desired toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let baked pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.
