This Stroganoff recipe is quite versatile and very tasty.

Vegan style:

1 large onion chopped

1 cup reconstituted tvp granules (you can add Braggs and sesame oil

to the water you reconstitute them with)

1 block soft tofu - blenderized til smooth

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1 pkg onion soup mix

saute chopped onion, till nearly clear, add tvp, tofu and soup mix

heat till bubbly and serve over rice or noodles.

Lacto Ovo Vegetarian style: (my favorite)

1 cup dry soy curls

1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil

1/8 cup soy sauce

place soy curls, sesame oil, and soy sauce in sauce pan, add water

to cover soy curls. Bring to boil then remove from heat to

reconstitute.

1 family sized can of mushroom soup mix

1 pint sour cream

1 pkg onion soup mix

1 pkg egg noodles

mix first 3 ingredients well

cook noodles till tender.

combine all ingredients and serve hot.

This is great with dark rye bread.

NOTE: in case you aren't familiar with soy curls:

they are made by Butler Foods, and are 100% soy. They are very

versatile and will take on the taste of what you reconstitute them

with. I made 'chicken' fajitas with them and they were quite good.

Thank you for sharing these recipes, Cindy. And also thanks for the link to the

soy curls. I

have not heard of them before, but was pleased to learn I should be able to find

some

right here in my town through the SDA cooking school. :)

You're welcome,

If there is an Adventist Book Center in your area you should be able

to get them there also. I know the one in my area carries them and

that's where I first learned about them
