Guest guest
Sauced Bean Sprouts I just cook, drain, dump in a bowl, I don't rinse in cold water cause I like them hot. I warm the sauce in the microwave, pour over and i can eat the whole bowl. About 2 quarts water 1 lb. fresh bean sprouts 2 tbsps. vegetable oil 2 tsps. sesame oil 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsps. rice vinegar 1/4 tsp. ground ginger In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Plunge bean sprouts into water and boil for 2 minutes. Immediately drain and rinse in cold water to cool quickly; drain again. In a large bowl, combine oils, salt, vinegar and ginger. Stir to mix. Add cooled, drained bean sprouts and toss to coat. Serve at room temperature or place in the refrigerator to chill. Makes 4 servings.
