What color do you prefer they are when eating them? I love bananas. As for the colour - it depends. To eat as a piece of fruit I like the skin to be slightly flecked with brown. If I am cooking with bananas I prefer them to be only just turning from green to yellow as they hold their shape better when cooked. One of my favourite ways to serve cooked bananas is to heat some curry powder in a little melted butter and warm the bananas in this mixture. When they are cooked I sprinkle the bananas with a little grated coconut.
