Guest guest
I went through the PETA vegan list with glee...Don't get me wrong it's not that I'm ungrateful, but unfortunately not all that glitters is golden. Please be advised that not ALL the items are currently accurately plant based or stay that way... Better to read each item and if necessary research yourself...I did and... nuff said. PS: *Please note Hot Tamales (candy) have a coating made from the crushed bodies of the cochineal insect---this information I received from the 'Just Born ' company in writing... I notified PETA, but this one fell through the cracks and remained on the list...dunno if it still is there. Sooo yukky in every respect This is in no way an attack on PETA's efforts to supply useful information...it's just a heartfelt reminder to double check for yourself because even the most dedicated attempts sometimes fall short-- Afterall, everyone makes mistakes! Guest guest
Thank you for that reminder, Cuppa. You are right, we all need to read the labels each time we buy a product, even if it always fit our diets in the past; product ingredients do change more often than we think. i was reminded of this myself while looking through a vegan cookbook called 'Simply Heavenly'. In there they go on about Lee & Perrins Steak Sauce being vegan and the best tasting, so i went to the market one day to buy some only to discover it was no longer vegan or vegetarian.... so read and re-read those labels! ~ PT ~ It takes a village to raise a child. ~ African proverb ~~~*~~*~~~*~~> , " cuppa_2u " <cuppa_2u wrote: > > I went through the PETA vegan list with glee...Don't get me wrong it's > not that I'm ungrateful, but unfortunately not all that glitters is > golden.
