Guest guest
Over on the Veg Group someone wanted a graham cracker recipe for making their own from-scratch pie crusts. That reminded me of this great recipe from the Simply Heavenly cookbook for a vegan graham cracker. If you want to make chocolate grahams, just sub in a few tablespoonfuls of cocoa powder for some of the all-purpose flour . These are really easy and very good. Graham Crackers 2 cups whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 2 Tbs. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1/2 cup water 1/3 cup corn oil 1/2 cup molasses Mix all the dry ingredients. Mix all the wets in a blender. Combine together. Knead just a little. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut and prick with a fork. Bake at 375ûF for 35 minutes. ~ PT ~ If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace.Ê We ask not your counsel nor your arms.Ê Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you.Ê May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen. ~ Samuel Adams
