I never get tired of this recipe.

" Asian Slaw "

1/2 head of a large white, gree, red, savory or your favorite

cabbage finely chopped

2 carrots shredded

1/2 cup rice vinegar

3 Tblpns. sesame oil

3 Tblpns. soy sauce

1 Tblpn. sugar

1 Tblspn. ginger, fresh minced or grated

3 Tblspn. toasted sesame seeds

1/2 cup salted peanuts

1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped

Note* I use dry roasted cashews instead of peanuts just because I

love them and I also add a little chopped onion and one garlic clove

minced

Place cabbage, carrots, peanuts, sesame seeds and cilantro in a large

bowl and set aside.

In a small bowl mix vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar and

ginger. Mix well or place in a glass jar with a lid and shake well.

Pour over salad and toss. Chill and serve.

Just when I'll find my course again, with the boulders in my way.

I should be rolling down the skyway on my cosmic wheels;

Instead of stumbling down this highway on my boots of steel "

Yum! This sounds so good.

There is a restaurant in town here that makes a wonderful

slaw that i just love, and they add ginger to it. Theirs has

some mayo, but it isn't overyly creamy so i don't think they

use much. Sometimes when i go there i just order a bowl of

that and some chips [fries] with malt vinegar and i am in

heaven.

Thanks for this recipe, Donna. Itssa keeper! :)
