Guest guest
As usual for me I just do it simply...steam it, vegan margarine, salt and pepper. Sometimes I add caramelized onions and garlic (from my new garlic twister) and maybe some vegan Italian Sausage or some other spicy vegan non-meat. I have added small amount of sugar too. But, I keep it simple and lightly cooked so I must be on the right track. Oh, yes, I use organic cabbage which I am sure help with the cancer thing, although probably too late for me. <grin> Is your coleslaw in the files? Under salad? You love kimchee? Oh dear! LOL I had a native Korean family living next to me in an apartment where we shared a balcony in Philly and she always had some on the deck fermenting and boy did it smell. Does it taste like sauerkraut? linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. That's good news for me since i love cabbage in kimchee and cole slaws. How do you best like to prepare and eat cabbage? Have a favorite recipe to share? Guest guest
The British use it with f*sh n' chips, where " chips " are like fat french fries and are dipped in the malt vinegar. Very good. -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog , " linda " <lindai81 wrote: > > Okay, I have heard of malt vinegar, but never bought it or seen it actually > probably because I didn't know what to use it for...is it in the vinegar > section and are there different types? > linda
Guest guest
Here's another vote for kimchi! In fact, prior to this thread, I posted a pic of my homemade kimchi on my blog. If you go into the comments, you'll find my " recipe " and a couple links for more information. -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll wrote: > > i just read a blurb in one of my veggie magazines about > the health benefits of eating raw or less-cooked cabbage, > especially in regards to the prevention of breast cancer. > That's good news for me since i love cabbage in kimchee > and cole slaws. > > How do you best like to prepare and eat cabbage? > Have a favorite recipe to share? > > ~ pt ~ > > My chosen husbandry I'll reveal, without concealment: > Fresh leeks, hens, speckled salmon, bees. > Sufficient clothes and food from the King of fair fame, > And chance to sit at times, praying God in each place. > ~ St Manchˆn, " Prayer " (trans.
