Guest guest
I made these and they turned out great. I got 6 frozen veg. burger sized patties, I added some cumin and a fresh garlic clove. You can really change the flavors around. Anyway, I fried 3 on the stove and I baked 3 in the oven. I froze 3 to see how well they are warmed up. Perfect in the toaster oven. This recipe is a keeper and I thank Brad for posting it. I will pass recipe to the other groups so more vegetarians out there have a good burger alternative to try. Now I made so many lentils I had to make a lentil loaf with the balance of cooked lentils so there's another option for you. Donna Lentil-Potato Burgers 1/2 cup chopped onion 3 celery stalks, chopped up 2 tablspoons olive oil 2 cups cooked, drained and mashed up lentils 2 cups mashed potatoes 1 cup whole wheat or white bread crumbs 1 teaspoon dried parsley or basil 1 1/2 teaspoons dried sage 1 teaspoon thyme little salt & black pepper little dried crushed pepper flakes Preheat oven to 350F Saute onion and celery in oil until tender, then combine everything in a bowl and mix well. Form patties and place on a well greased baking sheet. Bake about 15 minutes and turn and bake another 15 minutes. You can fry these up in an oiled skillet too. Well I’m not the world’s most physical guy But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine Oh my Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola Well I’m not dumb but I can’t understand Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man Oh my Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola lo-lo-lo-lo Lola Well we drank champagne and danced all night.
