I've bought several before and left them to rot because I was too anxious about cooking them. This time I took my courage in my hands and cooked the thing in time. Fortunately I had saved some back posts from the group on how to cook it. I cut it in half and cooked it in half an inch of water in a medium hot oven and then served it with some pasta (just in case we really hated the squash), napoletana sauce and steamed broccoli. It was a great hit and leaves me wondering why I was so stressed out about cooking it before. Now I just need to tackle the vegetable marrow currently languishing in my fridge...
